We take the protection of your personal data very seriously and treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection provisions. The provisions of the Church Data Protection Regulation of the Religious Order of the Papal Right (KDR-OG) shall apply. The following policy provides an overview of how we guarantee this protection and what kind of data is collected for what purpose.

Our website can usually be used without any personal data having to be provided. Where personal data (such as name, address or email addresses) is collected, this is done on a voluntary basis as far as possible. Please note that data transfer on the Internet (e.g. communication via email) may pose security issues. Seamless protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Third parties are hereby prohibited from using data published under the legal duty to provide a legal notice for sending unsolicited advertising and information materials. We expressly reserve the right to take legal steps if unsolicited advertising material is sent, such as via spam mails.

Protecting your data when making an online donation

If you make an online donation, your donation is handled via a secure and encrypted data-transmission process. In order to process your donation, we need your name, address and your bank details. Once you have entered your details in the donation form and submitted them, they are transmitted via a secure SSL connection. We occasionally use service providers for the external processing of data as provided for by law. In this case, we retain full responsibility for the processing of data.

Online contact forms

If you use an online contact form to send us queries, we store your information, including the contact details provided there, for the purpose of dealing with the query and in case of any follow-on questions. We will not share this data without your consent.

Newsletter

If you would like to receive our newsletter, we need an email address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the specified email address and consent to the receipt of the newsletter. No further data is collected. We use this data exclusively to send the requested information and do not share it with third parties. You may revoke your consent granted for the storage of data, the email address and the use of the email address for the dispatch of the newsletter at any time, such as via the “Unsubscribe” link in the newsletter. We work with service providers for the dispatch of the email newsletter who have entered into contractual obligations to comply with data-protection requirements.
