Alfred Delp Studiennetzwerk
"One must set the sails in the infinite wind, only then will we feel what voyage we are capable of." Alfred Delp

Welcome to the homepage of the Alfred Delp Studiennetzwerk.

The Alfred Delp Studiennetzwerk supports young, motivated, and talented women and men through education during their studies, aiming to develop their personalities, deepen their religious quest, and grow into responsibility for others. The study network enables its fellows to connect internationally and worldwide. In response to the yearning for a more authentic life, the network offers the cosmopolitan spirituality and humanistic tradition of the Jesuits. Learn more about us

At the beginning of the programme, the new fellows come together as a cohort for the orientation days. This provides an opportunity to get to know one another, become familiar with the programme, and address any questions.

Participation is mandatory for all new fellows.

The Study Network covers all costs associated with the orientation days, including travel to and from the event.

Annually, all fellows convene over a weekend between the winter and summer semesters to exchange ideas amongst themselves and engage with a significant socio-political or religious theme. The selection of themes and program development is determined by the leadership team in collaboration with active fellows. The costs for these annual meetings, including expenses for travel to and from the event, are covered by the study network. The next annual conference of the fellows will take place from March 5th to 7th, 2027, at the Heinrich-Pesch-Haus in Ludwigshafen. Applicants should keep this weekend free.

At the beginning of the fellowship, each cohort takes part in so-called introductory retreats to become familiar with the Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius of Loyola. The introductory retreat for the 2026 cohort will take place from May 5 to 9, 2027, at the Kardinal-König-Haus in Vienna. The costs for the retreat, including travel expenses, will be covered by the study network. Participation is mandatory for new fellows.
